Grappa

Grappa is an artisanal spirit that carries much of the aromatic intensity and regional character of Italian wine. Traditionally enjoyed after a meal or late in the evening, it is made by distilling pomace, the skins and solids left behind once the grapes have been pressed.

Because Italy’s wine culture is so varied, grappa can take many forms. The choice of grape, whether red or white, how the spirit is distilled, and whether it is aged all play a part, giving rise to a wide range of styles and flavours drawn from the skins and flesh of the fruit.
